Practice Notes

Practice Notes have been developed as a source of advice to practising engineers on practice-related issues, where often there is little other advice available. The notes are intended to inform IPENZ Members about issues that may affect them in various ways and in various capacities.

Topics for Practice Notes will be chosen by the Engineering Practice Board, to reflect professional issues of topical interest, and occasionally trends that emerge in complaints handled by the Board.

The Engineering Practice Board member in whose practice area the proposed note falls will normally gather a team of experts to prepare a draft. Where possible IPENZ will co-brand the Notes with other interested organisations. The draft will be posted on the IPENZ website for comment; once this has been taken on board, final production is undertaken by the IPENZ editorial team.

Any suggestions for topics can be sent to the Engineering Practice Manager, practicemanager@ipenz.org.nz
