| Annual Awards The MacLean Citation and the Fulton-Downer Gold Medal - Presidents Award are IPENZ premier awards. Members can not apply for the awards as they are awarded in recognition of an individuals' contribution to engineering. They are presented at the Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner. Other national awards Turner Award for Professional Commitment, Supreme Technical Awards for Engineering Achievers and the Ray Meyer Medal for Excellence in Student Design are presented are presented at the Fellows' and Achievers' Dinner in March each year and are open to all IPENZ Members. The Transpower Neighbourhood Engineers Awards involve engineers and students working together on practical projects in the school and/or community. The New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards is a collaboration of like engineering bodies that celebrates engineering excellence. IPENZ is one of four founding partner organisations involved with the running the annual event. The aim of the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards is to celebrate the excellence in engineering whether it is a project or an individual engineer / engineering team. The New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards raises the profile of the profession by show casing engineering at its best by our home grown talent. Awards by Subsidiaries encompass IPENZ Branch Awards (specific to IPENZ Branches) Technical Interest Group awards, and awards of Kindred Bodies. The IPENZ Young Engineer Paper is open to all IPENZ Membership classes under the age of 30* at the time of paper submission. The award celebrates vibrancy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas from the younger members of the Institution. The competition is part of the current President's Initiative of The Year of the Young Engineer 2007. |
